Frontiers of Advanced
Polymeric Materials

November 5, 1999
at The University of Chicago

Mission Statement:

We are pleased to invite you to participate in a symposium to address "Frontiers of Advanced Polymeric Materials" at the University of Chicago. This one day event is sponsored by the University's Materials Research Science and Engineering Center, MRSEC, and is part of an industrial relations series that regularly surveys recent advances in important areas of materials research.

This symposium will feature talks on the development of conducting polymers, bio-functional polymers, and polymer nanostructures by six renowned scientists whose work defines the state-of-the-art in these forefront areas. A link to a scientific program for the meeting is below.

We believe this is a unique opportunity for students and scientists from academic, industrial, and government laboratories to review the rapid progress in these fields of functional polymers. We invite you to join us on this occassion. The symposium will be held in the Kent Laboratory, Room 120 located at 5735 South Ellis Avenue, Chicago IL 60637. There is no registration fee: attendees are asked to register through the link below.

We are excited to host this timely meeting and hope to see you in November.
